Accessibility evaluation and implementation

Orientation and Workshops

A one–day programmer in two parts. Designed to introduce your team to: the general principles of web accessibility; W3C's accessibility guidelines; strategies for implementation that don't damage commercial performance or branding. The day will be useful for people from: IT/Development, Business Analysis, Marketing, Commerce, PR, Legal/Compliance, Operations.

Part One is a presentation which introduces and explores the web accessibility.

Part Two is a workshop in order to determine which conformance level your company is working towards; we discuss the communications and technical issues this raises.

Accessibility Evaluation

A thorough evaluation of your current site to determine the level of conformance with accepted international guidelines.

We use a combination of manual and automated techniques to examine target pages in detail. We also examine the system as a whole and make observations about the site from the user's perspective.

Our findings take the form of a presentation to the project team and a detailed written report. This includes technical guidance as well as suggestions on content and design.

An evaluation can be briefed, conducted and de-briefed in as little as two weeks.

Implementation Support

Once you have defined your goals for accessibility you can get as little or as much additional help as you need. We have expert resource in technical, development, marketing, PR, content and design.

What is involved?

1Line Design has put together the Accessibility Review to help clients who want to steer a path between these two extremes: making their sites accessible and usable by as many people as possible without damaging sales performance.

It has been designed for fast implementation - especially useful for companies who want to get on top of accessibility as part of their ongoing web production cycle.

What is the output?
